When you ask about what kind of Ramen there
are in Japan, you can probably listed down to around 10 or more different types
especially if you drill down to each prefecture. Most of the types are
Shoyu(soy sauce), Salt, Tonkotsu(pork soup) and Miso. These four you can find
mostly in almost every store here. Another type is the ramen with soup and
ramen without soup (the dipping noodle into special sauce and eat from it) or
Tsukemen. The one I will be introducing you today is Tsukemen or the dipping
noodle kind.
Yasube Tsukemen Specialist (やすべえつけめん)
This restaurant is chain stores and you can
find them in most main stations. What good about this place is the sweetness in
the soup, the volume of the noodle you can get (440g at most) and the price
which is the same to all 3 volume types (normal 220g, mid 330g, or double 440g).
I also have the MAX spiciness as you can
see the soup is totally bright red. The topping I had was the 4 meats (syashuu)
on the left side of the bowl. Those cost 330yen…. Which I think that it is
quite a bit expensive, but worth it.
Most of the time this store will be pretty
packed of people especially the peak time (dinner and lunch). The store close
around midnight so you do not need to worry about hungry at the late night. I
will warn you though… if you order the double noodle 440g one.. Be ready for
the volume of it. (I ordered the mid one)
