FOODPORN - 50 - Bloody Eggplant

Ok, it is not that bloody as you think it is. The blood is from tomato sauce!!! If you like tomato sauce, I am sure that you will also like this dish. 

I have been searching for what to do to this eggplant because I do not want to just stir fries it. Too mainstream ! 


The eggplant is soft in and crispy out! 

Ingredients: 

Eggplant
Egg

Sauce:
Tomato
Tomato paste
Garlic
Herbs of choices (I used chopped basil, oregano, and thyme)
Salt
Pepper


Beat the egg!!! That is what you need!!!! hahaha


I prefer my eggplant to shape like this because it can have the maximum space on both side.


I used olive oil. Fries in medium heat until the egg looks cook enough on both side.


Either this color


Or brown like this. It is totally up to you


For the sauce, stir garlic in the left-over oils then add the rest of the ingredients, Tomato, tomato sauce, and spices as much as you want. Taste it for your own preference.

FOODPORN - 49 - Strawberry x Honey Sauce with Baked Salmon

For lunch today I made this dish from the last piece of Salmon. 


This sauce is the mixture of balsamic vinegar, honey, and of course, strawberry!  The taste of sweet and sour from the sauce clashes with salty and greasy salmon! The wonderful all-around taste it is!!! 
Here is how to do!!!

Ingredients:
Salmon
Salt
Pepper

Sauce:
Strawberry
Water
Honey
Balsamic vinegar

A REALLY NICE AND TASTY STRAWBERRY!!!!!!! It is the strawberry season in France, so!!! it taste good!!!!!!!


Cut it into smaller pieces 


Here is the piece of salmon that I will use today


Start by mixing balsamic vinegar and water at the same portion. Add in strawberry while at it. 
Do not use all the strawberry because you can use the rest as decoration.


Stir them together for a while until the smell is great enough

Add in honey with the same portion as water and balsamic vinegar, then continue mixing it. After the sauce looks sticky enough, let it cool down for a bit. 


After the sauce is cool down, use mixture to small down strawberry. Then wait until the fish is finish cooking.


Add some olive oil on the baking pan. Cover it with salt and grind-pepper. you can add a bit more salt since the sauce is very sweet. 


Cook in the oven at 200c for 15-20 mins depending on the size of your salmon

FOODPORN - 48 - Garlic Prawn with Cheese

For the dinner after afternoon's Salmon, I used the big prawn that my dad got us earlier. 
Very smelly if you do like the smell of garlic!!!!

Ingredients:

Big Prawn
Chopped Garlic
Butter
Onion 
Cheese
Salt 

This is a very easy dish to make.


Firstly, cut out the prawn's legs nicely and cut open the middle of the prawn so you can have some space to put spices in.



Grind your cheese

Again, I do not have the cooking process of this dish. I am sorry about that.
Preheat oven at 200c. While waiting for the oven to heat up, buttered your frying pan and stir fry the chopped garlic into nicely smell. You do not need to make it totally yellow or cooked. 

Apply some butter to your prawn first then add in garlic. On top of that garlic, add cheese. 


Put this prawn into oven for 10-15 mins or until it looks cooked. 

During the wait, if you have some garlic left over, just cook it with onion. Onion and Garlic is one of the best combination for smell. 

DONE!




Sprinkle some black pepper on top just for the smell if you wanted to.

FOOD PORN - 47 - Oily Salmon Steak

Bought one big salmon fillet yesterday. After just eating sashimi, today, I created this dish out

Oily Salmon Steak!

Ingredient:
Salmon, square cut
Onion
Lemon 

Spices:
Black pepper
Garlic powder
Salt

Sauce:
Japanese vinegar (mirin)
Shoyu (soy sauce)
Sake (japanese sake)

Here is how to cook.

Cut the salmon first into square piece 


Mix the spices together


Just cover the spices on top of previously cut salmon


Sorry that I do not have the pic while cooking it. Basically, in the cooking pan, use the mid-high heat with vegetable oil, then cook each side of the salmon around 3-4 sec each side (you will have the inside uncooked. Prepare the onion by slicing it and cool it down in the fridge. Then, after you finish cooking the salmon, mix the sake,vinigar,shoyu together in the pan (you will have the oil after cooking the salmon left). Stir them for a while and let it simmer. 
Sprinkle lemon on the fish to add some taste to it!

FOOD PORN - 46 - Baked Chicken

I have not updated anything about my cooking that much, so I will take that opportunity to upload one recipe that I made the other day.

It is a very simple baked chicken but the outcome is very good. Greasy and smoky. 

The recipe is as follow.

Main Ingredient:
Chicken Breast, (the one I used is with bone) that's all hahaha. 

The spices:
Olive oil
Black pepper
Salt
Basil powder
Garlic powder

Start with bashing the chicken breast 5-10 times and just cut open the meat side a bit .

Put all the spices into bag and soaked the chicken breast one by one. Using this technique will make the spices cover over meat fully. 

(the olive oil will make your chicken greasy)


After you finished everything, preheat the oven for 15 mins at 180c



Bake it for 45 mins. (if you use the chicken that has no bone, just bake it for 30 mins)


FINISH!!! I decorated with lemon because lemon is very good for chicken! 



The meal beside is papaya salad. My father made that so ... hahaha..

Restaurant Gastronomique la Renardiere in France

Went to this restaurant call Restaurant Gastronomique la Renardiere which has 2 forks. This restaurant is fairly close to the Ville de Senlis where it is a small town close by Paris. This area divided into 2 areas. One side has lots of horse, or basically it calls a horse town. Another half is a small town for village and castles.  

This restaurant is the first place in the world that create creme for everyone to use. 
It has a very unique taste of creme here. 

This is the service before the starter.

Sherbet ice-cream with sparking wine.

Stew beef!!!!!!! one awesome taste that it melted in my mouth

This is the dessert which has the vanilla creme!!

Lastly, well I did not order this but it looks really great!!!!!! Of course, creme block.

Found this Cheery blossom tree in the town. It is such a great thing because now is the time for sakura to bloom in Japan as well.

This flower is call daffadel flower which is the sign that spring is coming to town! The place that I took this picture was in the forest. Wild flower. This is why we can pick them up all we want with one restriction that we should not bring out the head of the flower, so other people can see it again in the future when it re-bloom.
